The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) has officially published a Request for Price Quotation (RFQ-2026-008-043) for catering services to support its Education and Awareness Campaigns in Limpopo. This is a once-off opportunity for qualified service providers to cater for a significant event scheduled for 16 September 2026 at the Malamulele Hall.
Tender Scope and Specifications
The chosen service provider will be required to supply a comprehensive catering package for 150 delegates. The menu includes a variety of sandwiches, scones, tea, coffee, soft drinks, 500ml bottled water, and sessional fruits. Bidders are specifically required to bring their own equipment, including cutlery, plates, tablecloths, cups, and serviettes.

Mandatory Compliance and Documentation

- CSD Registration: Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a recent report with tax compliance status
- Certificate of Acceptability: A valid Certificate of Acceptability (COA) for food premises from a local municipality within Limpopo Province is mandatory
- SBD Forms: Fully completed and signed Standard Bidding Documents (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1) and a POPIA consent form are required
Evaluation Criteria and Specific Goals
The NLC will apply the 80/20 preference point system. Price accounts for 80 points, while the remaining 20 points are allocated for specific goals which include:
- Black Ownership: Up to 8 points for 100% black ownership
- Women Ownership: Up to 4 points for 100% women ownership
- Youth Ownership: Up to 4 points for 100% youth ownership
- Disability Ownership: Up to 4 points for entities with 20% or more owners with a disability
Important Practical Instructions
The NLC emphasizes logistical efficiency and readiness. The food must be delivered on time to Malamulele Hall (614a Mbwuu Street). Bidders are advised to bring containers to store food in case the meeting extends beyond the scheduled time.
