The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) has issued an open tender (CCMA/2026/22/JHB) for the appointment of a service provider to deliver comprehensive cleaning services at its Johannesburg office. This strategic 60-month contract targets qualified facility management firms to maintain a pristine, hygienic, and professional working environment.
Scope of Works and Facility Support
The appointed service provider will be responsible for a comprehensive range of cleaning duties across the 2,928.60 m² office space, which includes both carpeted and tiled areas:
- Floor Maintenance: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing
- Dusting and Disinfection: Daily cleaning of furniture, equipment, and high-touch surfaces
- Waste Disposal: Regular emptying and cleaning of bins
- Kitchen and Ablution Facilities: Deep cleaning and consumable replenishment
- Window and Blind Cleaning: Interior windows and blinds
- Hearing and Training Rooms: Preparation, arrangement, and disinfection before 8:00 AM daily
- Deep Cleaning: Carpets and office chairs bi-annually
The contract requires five cleaners (one male and four females) to work Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 15:30, excluding weekends and public holidays unless otherwise specified.
Mandatory Requirements
To qualify, bidders must comply with all mandatory requirements, including:
- Registration and good standing with the Compensation Commissioner (COIDA)
- Valid public liability insurance cover
- Participation and Compliance Certificate for the Contract Cleaning National Provident Fund (CCNPF)
- Proof of registration with the Regional Council for Contract Cleaning Industry
Compulsory Virtual Briefing Session
Attendance at the pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Bidders must ensure they can access the Microsoft Teams link prior to the session. Failure to attend this virtual briefing will result in the immediate disqualification of the bid.
