The RFQ, identified as RFQ2026-007-008, is open for submissions until 16 July 2026 at 11:00 . Quotations and supporting documents must be submitted only via the E-Tender Portal. Email submissions will not be considered. The RFQ validity period is 120 days.
Event Specifications
The workshop is scheduled for 25 July 2026 at the Boland Cricket Stadium, Boland Park, Langenhoven Avenue, Paarl, in the Western Cape . Catering services are required for 100 delegates, with lunch scheduled for 12:00 pm.
Menu Requirements
The service provider must supply a pre-packaged lunch containing:
- 2 Starches: Pap and dumpling/samp/rice
- 2 Proteins: Roasted/Grilled Chicken and Lamb/Beef
- 2 Salads: Potato salad and Chakalaka
- 2 Vegetables: Pumpkin and Spinach
- Bottled Water: 200 units of still water, complying with South African National Bottled Water Association (SANBWA) standards
- Variety of Soft Drinks: 100 units of 100% fruit juice or soft drinks (cans or bottles)
Important Instructions
Please bring your own cutlery, plates, table clothes, cups, and serviettes. Food must be delivered on time. The catering company must use refuse bags and remove all waste generated within the facility after the service.
Mandatory Submission Documents
- SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1: Fully completed and signed Standard Bidding Documents
- POPIA Consent Form: Original signed consent form for processing of personal information
- BBBEE Certificate / Sworn Affidavit: In terms of Codes of Good Practice
- Full CSD Report: Recent report with SARS Tax Compliance Status, as registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory.
- Municipality Certification: A valid certificate of acceptability for food premises from a Western Cape municipality

Evaluation Process
Bids will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. A maximum of 80 points is allocated for price, with 20 points for specific goals. These goals include points for black ownership, women ownership, youth ownership, and disability ownership.
