Tokologo Local Municipality has issued an open tender (TLM/RFP001/2026/2027) for the appointment of a Registered Occupational Health Medical Practitioner. This strategic three-year contract targets qualified medical professionals to conduct comprehensive medical surveillance for municipal employees across the Free State.
Scope of Supply and Emergency Readiness
The appointed service provider will conduct comprehensive medical surveillance for all general workers of Tokologo Local Municipality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Health Assessments: Conducting fitness-for-work physical examinations, including height, weight, blood pressure, urine tests, visual screening, audiometry (hearing tests), and spirometry (lung function tests).
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnosing and treating occupational diseases, work-related illnesses, and injuries.
- Case Management: Assisting with reviews and managing incapacity cases, providing recommendations.
- Record Keeping: Overseeing maintenance of case histories, health examination reports, and other medical records.
- Vaccinations and Referrals: Providing vaccinations, follow-ups, and referrals when necessary.
- Reporting: Submitting detailed medical surveillance reports, including findings and recommendations, within fourteen calendar days after each assessment programme.

Sealed bid proposals must be deposited in the official municipal tender box. Late or non-compliant submissions will be strictly disqualified from the evaluation process.
