The Road Accident Fund (RAF) has issued Request for Quotation PR10116854 for the supply and delivery of supplementary first aid items. This targeted procurement aims to enhance the emergency response capabilities at the RAF Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng, ensuring the safety and well-being of staff and visitors.
Scope of Supply and Emergency Readiness
The appointed service provider will supply and deliver supplementary first aid items to the RAF Head Office. The items are intended to improve first-aid response effectiveness, reduce injury severity, and support best practice in occupational health and safety.
Items required:
- Instant cold compress (15cm x 23cm) – 38 units for immediate treatment of sprains, strains, and swelling.
- Emergency Burncare Hydrogel sachets (3.5ml) – 50 units for initial burn treatment to cool and protect burn injuries.
- Rescue sheets (2m x 1m) – 8 units for thermal protection for shock or trauma.
- Deep freeze cold spray (150ml) – 10 units for rapid cooling for sports type injuries and muscle trauma.
- Eye pads (6cm x 8cm) – 8 units for protection and treatment of eye injuries.
- Box of 20 assorted plasters – 40 units for treatment of minor cuts.
Electronic Submission Requirements
In alignment with the RAF’s digital procurement strategy, all quotation responses must be submitted electronically. Bidders must email their completed quotations and supporting documentation directly to the designated procurement inbox. Physical or hand-delivered submissions will not be processed.
