Scope of Services
The appointed provider will implement and manage occupational hygiene measurements including:
- Airborne pollutant sampling, noise monitoring, Diesel Particulate Matter (DPM) sampling
- Asbestos and welding fume sampling, thermal stress measurements, ergonomic assessments, illumination surveys, whole‑body vibration assessments
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of management programmes and Codes of Practice (COPs)
- Maintain records linked to employee medical surveillance
- Submit quarterly statutory reports to the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR)
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments for health stressors
- Specialist input into fire and explosion risk assessments
- Participate in occupational illness investigations
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports, risk assessment reports, investigation reports, updated COPs, and management presentations
Service Location and Requirements
Services are required at 1 Orange Road, Alexander Bay, Northern Cape, 8290. Providers must demonstrate expertise in occupational hygiene monitoring, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance aligned with South African mining and OHS legislation. Experience in extractive industries is advantageous.
Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
Quotations must be submitted electronically before the closing deadline. Late submissions will not be considered. Bidders should ensure all documentation is complete, signed, and formatted per the RFQ specifications to avoid disqualification.
