Tender Overview and Strategic Purpose
This Expression of Interest establishes a pre-qualified panel of pest control providers to deliver services on an “as-and-when-required” basis across 19 geographic clusters. The initiative addresses infrastructure maintenance challenges while promoting sustainable, environmentally responsible pest management in hospitals, clinics, EMS stations, nursing colleges, and departmental facilities.
Scope of Services and Technical Requirements
Appointed providers will deliver:
- Pre-treatment assessments and customized pest control recommendations
- Environmentally friendly treatment applications for crawling/flying insects and vermin
- Post-treatment verification and compliance documentation per Agricultural Remedies Act
- Professional fumigation services for severe infestations where required
- Detailed service reports submitted after each intervention
Mandatory Eligibility and Compliance Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Valid AgriSETA Pest Control Operator Competency Registration certificates
- Category Accreditation certificates for deployed personnel
- Valid roadworthy vehicle certificates with proof of ownership or lease agreements
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and SARS tax compliance
- B-BBEE certification for preference point consideration under the 80/20 system
Geographic Coverage and Cluster Selection
Providers may bid for one or multiple locality clusters spanning Polokwane, Mankweng, Lebowakgomo, Botlokwa, Sekhukhune, Giyani, Letaba, Tzaneen, Thohoyandou, Musina, Mokopane, and Ellisras/Thabazimbi regions. Each cluster includes designated hospitals, primary healthcare facilities, and support infrastructure requiring ongoing pest management services.
