The SIOC Community Development Trust, in partnership with the Mr Price Foundation, is launching an exclusive Youth Enterprises Accelerator Programme designed to catalyse the growth of youth-owned businesses across beneficiary communities. This transformative initiative targets black youth entrepreneurs aged 18-35 who are ready to scale their registered and operating enterprises.
Programme Overview and Strategic Objectives
This accelerator programme addresses critical gaps in youth entrepreneurship by providing comprehensive business development support, mentorship, and access to funding opportunities. The initiative aligns with broader economic transformation goals, fostering sustainable enterprise development in historically disadvantaged communities.
What Participants Will Receive
Selected entrepreneurs will benefit from:
- Intensive business masterclasses covering innovation strategies, business model refinement, and funding readiness preparation
- One-on-one mentorship and coaching from industry experts and successful business leaders
- Pitching opportunities to present business concepts to potential investors and stakeholders
- Seed funding opportunities to accelerate business growth and market expansion
Target Communities and Eligibility
The programme focuses on youth-owned businesses in SIOC-CDT beneficiary communities including Thabazimbi, Gamagara, Tsantsabane, Ga-Segonya, and Joe Morolong. Applicants must be black youth aged 18-35, owners of registered and operating businesses based in these designated areas.
Programme Schedule and Venues
Two cohorts will be hosted:
- Thabazimbi Cohort: 8-12 June 2026 at Thabazimbi Guest Lodge
- Northern Cape Cohort: 22-26 June 2026 (venue to be confirmed based on registrations)
