This 24-month contract opportunity, reference PLK 26/12, supports critical infrastructure maintenance for government facilities including SAPS stations, magistrate courts, and departmental offices.

Tender Overview and Scope

The appointed panel contractors will deliver comprehensive HVAC services including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, component replacement, and performance optimisation across multiple state buildings. Works cover console units, wall-mounted split systems, package units, and under-ceiling air conditioning equipment serving essential public service delivery points.

Mandatory Eligibility Requirements

Bidders must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Valid CIDB grading of 3ME or higher
  • Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with active status
  • Valid SARS tax compliance status and TCS PIN
  • Completed SBD forms (SBD 1, 4, 6.1) and B-BBEE certification
  • Proof of relevant HVAC maintenance experience with references

Functionality and Evaluation Framework

Proposals undergo two-phase assessment: functionality scoring (minimum 60% threshold required) followed by price and preference evaluation using the 80/20 system. Functionality criteria include workforce certification, management capability, financial standing, and technical experience. Price accounts for 80 points; specific goals including B-BBEE status contribute 20 points.

A non-compulsory clarification meeting will be held on Wednesday, 03 June 2026 at 10:00 at the Old Mutual Building, 78 Hans Van Rensburg Street, Polokwane. While attendance is optional, bidders are encouraged to participate for scope clarification and understanding of facility-specific requirements across the two districts.
