The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) invites qualified pest control service providers to submit quotations for comprehensive fumigation and integrated pest management services across multiple railway stations in the Eastern Cape region. This Request for Quotation (ECR/F/02/05/2026) seeks to appoint two service providers for a once-off pest control intervention supporting operational hygiene and passenger safety standards.
Tender Overview
This once-off procurement covers pest control and fumigation services at PRASA stations across three Eastern Cape corridors: Gqeberha, East London, and MLPS. The scope includes treatment of offices, waiting rooms, ticket offices, ablution facilities, parking areas, and open spaces within station precincts to eliminate operational, safety, and hygiene risks associated with pest infestations.
Scope of Services & Station Clusters
The successful bidders will provide integrated pest management covering ants, cockroaches, flies, rodents, and ad-hoc services like snake or bee removal. Work includes installing bait boxes, fumigation, and providing site-specific recommendations. Services are required across two corridors:
- East London – Burgersdorp Corridor (including East London, Mdantsane, Queenstown, and Sterkstroom)
- Port Elizabeth – Cradock Corridor (including Port Elizabeth, North End, Swartkops, Uitenhage, and Cradock)
Key Submission Requirements
- Valid PSIRA registration and COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Proof of relevant experience in commercial or public-sector pest control
- Completed SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1)
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and tax compliance status
- Quotations must remain valid for 60 days post-submission
