Tender Overview
The municipality seeks a single provider capable of delivering integrated technology solutions that ensure business continuity, data security, and seamless communication across municipal departments. Services include high-speed internet connectivity, encrypted site-to-site network links, domain registration and hosting management, and comprehensive disaster recovery protocols.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider (ICASA-licensed & ISPA member) must deliver:
- Internet Connectivity: High-speed, redundant links for Main Office (1 Gb), Public Wi-Fi (50 Mbps), Hlogotlun (100 Mbps), Rossenekal (30 Mbps), Landfill site (10 Mbps), Motetema (30 Mbps)
- Failover link: 100 Mbps with quarterly testing
- Network monitoring & support: 24/7
- Domain hosting with backups, DNS management, POPIA compliance
- Disaster Recovery: Review existing DR plan, ongoing support, annual testing & simulation
- Hardware replacement: Outdoor wireless infrastructure for 3 sites
Submission Requirements and Eligibility
Bidders must submit a valid CIPC registration certificate as a mandatory prerequisite. All proposals should demonstrate technical capacity, relevant experience in municipal or public sector ICT projects, and compliance with South African procurement regulations.
