Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality invites qualified contractors to submit bids for tender EMLM 27/2026, focusing on the supply, delivery, and installation of a clear view fence with matching gates for the municipal impound yard. Project Location and Scope

The project is situated at 2nd Grober Avenue, Groblersdal, Limpopo, 0470. The scope encompasses the full supply chain of clear view fencing materials, professional installation of fence panels and gates, and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and municipal specifications. Contractors should factor in logistics and site accessibility when preparing their bids.

Fence Specifications

The clear view high-security fence must feature:

  • Panel dimensions: 2100mm x 3000mm, colour black
  • Aperture: 12.7mm x 76mm
  • Vertical wire diameter: 4.0mm, horizontal: 3.0mm
  • Hot-dipped galvanized with minimum 35 microns coating thickness
  • SANS 675:2011 Edition 4.1 compliant
  • 358 mesh panel design with narrow, tightly spaced vertical bars for maximum security

Bill of Quantities includes:

  • 96 panels (2100mm x 3000mm, 75mm x 12.7mm)
  • 93 T-posts (2700 x 76 x 40 x 1.6 pre-galvanized)
  • 1,488 flat clamps and long tech screws
  • 3 sliding gates (2.1m x 6m, 76 x 12.7, hot-dipped galvanized)
  • Gate motors with electrical connection
  • Transport, labour, concrete, and management fees

Eligibility and CIDB Grading

Bidders must hold a valid CIDB contractor grading designation of 2SQ or higher to qualify for consideration. This requirement ensures that only contractors with proven capability in small-scale construction and security infrastructure projects participate. Applicants should verify their CIDB registration status before submission to avoid disqualification.

Submission Guidelines and Deadline

All quotations must be received by Thursday, 30 April 2026, at 11:00. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. Bidders are advised to submit complete documentation, including pricing schedules, company registration details, and proof of CIDB grading. No briefing session is scheduled for this tender.
