This Request for Bid (PLK26/07) targets CIDB-registered contractors (Grade 3GB or higher) for a 24-month panel appointment on an as-and-when-required basis, supporting critical infrastructure maintenance at government facilities.
CIDB Registration and Eligibility Requirements
Prospective bidders must hold valid and active CIDB registration in the General Building (GB) class of works, Grade 3GB or higher. Additional mandatory requirements include:
- Valid registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents (DPW-07 EC, PA-11, PA-15 series)
- Proof of tax compliance status and B-BBEE verification certificate
- Certified copies of trade test certificates for Bricklayer and Carpenter (not older than 6 months)
Functionality Evaluation and Scoring Criteria
Bids undergo functionality assessment requiring a minimum score of 50% to advance to price evaluation. Criteria include:
- Company experience in similar building maintenance projects (weighted scoring)
- Workforce capability with certified trade test certificates (15 points)
- Technical methodology and works programme (weighted scoring)
- Financial capacity and resource availability

Proposals must be deposited in the designated bid box at 78 Hans van Rensburg Street, Polokwane, 0700, by 11:00 on Tuesday, 05 May 2026. Submissions must include:
- Fully priced Bills of Quantities/Lump Sum Document
- DPW-09 EC: Particulars of Tenderer’s Projects
- Proof of CSD registration and valid Letter of Good Standing
- Health and Safety Plan aligned with project scope
