Sentech Limited invites qualified security technology providers to submit quotations for the appointment of a smart locks service provider to supply, install, and support electronic access control systems across Sentech sites nationally. This Request for Quotation (RFX 60000003352) targets established security solution providers capable of delivering innovative, SABS-compliant locking technology over a 12-month contract period.
Smart Lock Solution Requirements
The appointed service provider will deliver a comprehensive smart lock solution featuring:
- Mechanical locks and keys integrated with electronic authorization capabilities
- Unique master keying system with secure key-cutting channels
- Remote or local electronic authorization for key functionality
- Pre-set scheduling allowing keys to operate only on specific dates and times
- Remote disablement capability for lost or damaged keys
- Full maintenance support and 12-month guarantee period
- Compliance with SABS standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Mandatory Briefing Session Details
Attendance at the virtual clarification meeting is compulsory. Bidders who fail to attend will be disqualified.

Eligibility and Submission Criteria
Bidders must demonstrate:
- Valid registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Proven experience in electronic security or access control system installations
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents and Sentech Supplier Consent Form
- Valid tax compliance status and B-BBEE verification certificate
- Capacity to support national deployment and ongoing maintenance
Evaluation and Preference Points
Proposals will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. Technical methodology, solution innovation, and support capability are assessed before price evaluation. Specific goals allocation includes points for black ownership, women ownership, youth involvement, and disability inclusion.
