Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) has released Request for Quotation RFQ202526/116, seeking experienced catering service providers for the Financial Services and Cross Border Payments Training Programme scheduled for 24 March 2026 at its Durban offices. This one-day training event aims to empower companies with knowledge of global payments, trade finance, and currency risk management.
Event Background and Purpose
The Export Development and Promotions Unit (EDPU) is hosting this training programme to enhance company capacities in performing global payments and receipts, trade finance, foreign investment, forward exchange contracts, and exchange control approvals. The session will take place at TIKZN offices in Kingsmead Office Park, Durban.
Catering Requirements and Menu
The service provider must deliver individually pre-packed breakfast and lunch packs for 23 delegates by 07h30 and 12h00 respectively. Breakfast includes muffins, scones with jam and butter, and one fruit. Lunch comprises savoury rice, chicken curry, potato salad, and green salad. Halal and vegetarian options are required for four delegates, plus 23 mixed canned juices and soft drinks.
Service Provider Responsibilities
The quotation must include all necessary crockery, cutlery, serviettes, dressings, and condiments. Bidders must quote strictly according to specifications, as quoting on fewer items will invalidate submissions. All prices must include applicable taxes.
Administrative Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Completed and signed SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 forms
- POPIA consent form
- Proof of CSD registration or SARS PIN
- Quotation on company letterhead
Evaluation Criteria and Scoring
The 80/20 preference point system applies, with 80 points for price and 20 for specific goals. Women ownership (51% or more) earns 10 points, while youth ownership (51% or more) and people with disabilities ownership (51% or more) each earn 5 points. Supporting documentation must accompany claims.
