SANParks Seeks Supplier for Taps and Related Parts

South African National Parks (SANParks) has issued Request for Quotation RFQ-00-07-51 for the appointment of a service provider to supply and deliver taps and related parts within Kruger National Park. This procurement opportunity targets qualified suppliers capable of meeting stringent technical and compliance standards for infrastructure maintenance in one of Africa’s premier conservation areas.

Tender Overview and Scope

The RFQ seeks a reliable partner to provide durable, SABS and JASWIC-approved plumbing fixtures for installation across Kruger National Park facilities. Required items include:

  • Kitchen mixers with aerated swivel spouts
  • Single pillar taps (hot and cold indices)
  • Bath tub mixers with diverters and hand showers
  • Concealed shower mixers and self-closing taps
  • Aerators, flow restrictors, and water-saving components

All products must feature de-zincification resistant brass construction and carry manufacturer warranties ranging from 10 to 20 years.

Technical Specifications Requirements

Bidders must ensure all submitted products comply with:

  • South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) certification
  • Joint Approval Committee for Water Installation Components (JASWIC) approval
  • Chrome-plated or matte finishes with specified care guidelines
  • Technical documentation, product images, and warranty certificates

Submission Guidelines and Deadlines

Quotations must be submitted electronically to Fhatuwani.matshili@sanparks.org by 13:00 PM on Monday, 23 March 2026. Late submissions will not be considered. Proposals must:

  • Follow the prescribed format using official SBD forms
  • Include PDF pricing schedules per Annexure B
  • Maintain bid validity for 90 days from closing date

Evaluation and Preference Points

Proposals will be assessed using an 80/20 preference point system:

  • 80 points for price competitiveness
  • 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE procurement recognition, black ownership, women ownership, youth participation, and local supplier proximity to Kruger gates

Compliance and Documentation

Mandatory submissions include:

  • Completed SBD1, SBD4 (Bidder’s Disclosure), SBD6.1, and SBD7.2
  • Valid Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD registration
  • B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit
