The City of Johannesburg has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number COJ0081-25/26 for the supply and delivery of kitchen essentials, including cutlery, crockery, and glassware, to support official functions, staff kitchens, and workplace hospitality across municipal offices. The procurement aims to equip City departments with durable, functional, and professional-grade kitchen items for daily use and formal events. Submissions must be delivered in hard copy by 10:30 on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, to the Sappi Building in Braamfontein.

Scope of Supply: Comprehensive Kitchenware for Municipal Use
The successful supplier will deliver a wide range of high-quality kitchen items, including:
- Cutlery sets: Knives, forks, spoons (stainless steel, 18/10 grade)
- Crockery: Ceramic plates, bowls, mugs, saucers (microwave- and dishwasher-safe)
- Glassware: Water jugs, drinking glasses, tea pots
- Kitchen accessories: Dish racks, cutlery trays, bread knives, serving trays
All items must be new, unused, and compliant with SABS or equivalent quality standards. Quantities and specifications are detailed in the tender schedule, with a total requirement of over 400–500 units per item type.
Mandatory Submission Requirements
To be considered, quotations must include:
- A completed pricing schedule with unit price (incl. VAT), quantity, and total per item
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN
- Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (required to claim preference points)
- Declaration of Interest (MBD 4) and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9)
- Proof of municipal account if claiming locality points (City of Johannesburg residents only)
Quotations must be submitted in hard copy only—no emails, faxes, or postal submissions will be accepted.
Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System
Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:
- 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
- 20 points: Specific Goals, including:
- 10 points: 51%+ Black-owned enterprise
- 10 points: Business located within the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality (verified via CSD report and municipal account)
Failure to submit a B-BBEE certificate or proof of locality will result in zero preference points.
