The Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number IYM01/01/2026Q for the supply and delivery of 75 high-quality plastic tables—comprising 50 round folding tables (1.8m diameter) and 25 rectangular utility folding tables (1.8m length)—for use in its Cradock and Middelburg municipal units. The tables will support community events, meetings, and public services across both towns. Submissions must be delivered in hard copy by 11:00 on Monday, 19 January 2026.

Scope of Supply: Durable, Multi-Use Folding Tables
The successful supplier will deliver:
- 50 Round Plastic Folding Tables:
- Diameter: 1.8 metres
- Seating capacity: 10 persons per table
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
- Folding legs for easy storage and transport
- 25 Rectangular Utility Plastic Folding Tables:
- Length: 1.8 metres
- Top quality, durable, weather-resistant
- Folding design for compact storage
All items must be new, unused, and fit for public use, with clear labelling indicating brand and specifications.
Mandatory Submission Requirements
To be considered, quotations must include:
- A completed pricing schedule with unit price, VAT (15%), and total amount
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or tax clearance certificate
- Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (required to claim preference points)
- Municipal utility bill or lease agreement (not older than 3 months) to verify locality
- Completed MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and MBD 9 (Bidder’s SCM Practices) forms
Quotations must be signed, stamped (if applicable), and submitted in a sealed envelope.
Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System
Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:
- 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
- 20 points: Specific Goals, including:
- Locality: Up to 8 points based on business location (Inxuba Yethemba = 8 pts; Chris Hani District = 5 pts; Eastern Cape = 2 pts)
- Black ownership: 10 points for 100% Black-owned enterprises
- Other goals: Women, youth, disability ownership may also be considered
Failure to submit a B-BBEE certificate will result in zero preference points.
