    Vhembe District Municipality Working Tools Tender for Drill Rig

    Vhembe District Municipality invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the purchase of working tools for the Drill Rig X2 (Material 1). This Request for Quotation (RFQ/VDM/TECH/29/09/2026/01) supports the municipality’s Technical Services Department in Thohoyandou, Limpopo.

    Scope of Supply

    The successful bidder will be required to supply specific working tools (Material 1) for the drill rigs. The required items include:

    • Tyre bars (angle and straight type)
    • 12-ton heavy-duty ratchet type car stands
    • 500g all-purpose grease
    • Brushless demolition breakers
    • 355mm cutoff machines
    • Large folding nose trolleys
    • Inverter welders (200A, 60% duty cycle)
    • 20m PVC flexible hoses with couplers

    Mandatory Requirements

    Bidders must submit the following documents to avoid disqualification:

    • CSD Summary report
    • Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Compliance Status letter
    • Company registration certificate
    • Proof of purchased tender document receipt (for purchased documents only)
    • Proof that the bidder’s municipal business account or director’s municipal account is not in arrears (not older than three months)
    • Letter from traditional authority if not paying rates and taxes
    • All pages pre-numbered and initialled before submission

    Technical Requirements

    The RFQ requires firm prices only, with no non-firm prices or prices subject to rate of exchange variations considered. All delivery costs must be included in the bid price for delivery at the prescribed destination. The municipality will not accept bids from persons in the service of the state.

    Pricing and Preference Points

    The 80/20 preference point system applies. Price carries 80 points, while specific goals account for 20 points. Specific goals include HDI status (10 points), locality (4 points for within the district, 2 points for within Limpopo Province, 1 point for within South Africa), youth (2 points), women (2 points), and disability (2 points).

    Submission Details and Deadline

    Quotations close on Monday, 12 October 2026, at 12:00. Submissions must be placed in the bid box next to the entrance of Vhembe District Municipality’s offices or posted to Private Bag X5006, Thohoyandou, 0950. Late submissions will not be accepted. No briefing session will be held.
