The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), under the Department of Employment and Labour, invites qualified service providers to bid for the supply and installation of corporate signage at its premises in Pretoria. This Request for Quotation (RFQ0004761) covers exterior and interior signage, including illuminated logos and directory boards.
Tender Overview and Scope
The appointed service provider will supply and install the following items:
- Two 3D UIF logos in high-quality aluminium
- Two illuminated UIF logo signage units with internal LED lighting
- One outdoor illuminated operating hours signage board
- One internal lift lobby and building floor directory signage
All signage must comply with UIF corporate identity standards, be weather-resistant, and carry warranties ranging from 12 to 36 months. Installation must be professional and include electrical connection and testing.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must submit the following documents to avoid disqualification:
- Completed and signed SBD 1, SBD 3.1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 forms
- Tax Compliance Status PIN and CSD registration
- CIDB Grade 2GB accreditation certificate
- At least two years of experience in similar projects
- Two reference letters on company letterhead, signed and stamped, not older than three months
- Attendance at the compulsory briefing session
Technical Evaluation
The 80/20 preference point system applies. Price carries 80 points, while specific goals account for 20 points. Specific goals include black women ownership (8 points), black youth ownership (6 points), black disability ownership (1 point), and companies complying with B-BBEE elements (5 points). Bidders must submit CIPC and CSD detailed summary reports to substantiate claims.
Submission Details and Deadline
Bids close on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 11:00. Submissions must be physical and follow a two-envelope system: one for functionality and one for price. Documents must be deposited at ABSA Towers, Ground Floor, 230 Lillian Ngoyi Street, Pretoria, 0002. A compulsory briefing session will be held on Thursday, 08 October 2026, at 10:00 at 94 WF Nkomo Street, Pretoria, 0002. Failure to attend will lead to immediate disqualification.
