The National Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) invites bids (DMPR/001/2026/27) for the provision of comprehensive facility management services at its Pretoria headquarters. This strategic 36-month contract targets suitably experienced service providers to ensure a safe, hygienic, and professional working environment at the Trevenna Campus.
Scope of Services and Facility Management
The appointed service provider will render a wide range of essential support services, including:
- Daily cleaning and deep hygiene maintenance
- Comprehensive pest control measures
- Specialized boardroom setup and support services These services are critical for maintaining the operational efficiency and professional image of the national department’s head office.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must meet several mandatory requirements to be considered, including:
- Proof of valid registration for Office Pest Control and Fumigation with the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD).
- A valid Letter of Good Standing with the Compensation Fund (COIDA).
- Proof of UIF registration and compliance.
- Proof of Public Liability Insurance.
- Proof of valid registration or membership with a recognised cleaning industry body (e.g., NCCA/BEECA).
Mandatory Compliance and Occupational Health
In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the DMPR mandates that the successful bidder must provide a safe working environment without risk to employees’ health. Bidders must demonstrate strict adherence to national hygiene standards and occupational safety regulations.
Compulsory Briefing and Document Collection
A mandatory site inspection and briefing session will be held. Prospective bidders must sign an attendance register to confirm their presence; failure to do so will result in disqualification. Notably, tender documents will only be distributed during this session.
