The City of Cape Town invites experienced creative agencies and publishing service providers to submit bids for the development of newsletters and publications (Tender 275S/2025/26). This strategic 36-month contract supports the municipality’s communication mandate, ensuring residents receive clear, informative, and accessible content across print and digital platforms.
Scope of Services and Categories
The appointed service provider will handle end-to-end production for two primary categories:
- Category 1: Development of newsletters, including the quarterly ‘CityNews’ publication, featuring typesetting, copyfitting, graphics, and translations into Afrikaans and Xhosa.
- Category 2: Development of once-off publications, encompassing image manipulation, proofing, archiving, and final material preparation for print and web.
Evaluation and Specific Goals
Bids will be evaluated using an 80/20 preferential procurement system. Twenty specific goal points are allocated to promote Micro and Small Enterprises (8 points), Enterprise Supplier Development (6 points), and Skills Development or Employee Share Schemes (6 points). A two-envelope system may be utilized, separating technical and financial proposals.
