The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has issued RFQ WTE1005CE for the supply and installation of local content Chromadeck Kalahari red roof sheets at the Grootdraai Dam Project near Standerton. This infrastructure upgrade supports ongoing water resource management operations in Mpumalanga.
Project Scope and CIDB Requirements
The appointed contractor must hold a valid CIDB grading designation of 2GB or higher. The comprehensive scope of work includes:
- Supplying and installing 0.6mm Chromadeck Kalahari red roof sheets complete with polyethylene underlay.
- Installing ridge cap flashing, gable trims, fascia boards, and barge boards.
- Fitting galvanized square gutters and comprehensive rainwater systems.
- Ensuring strict compliance with local content manufacturing declarations and SANS standards.

Prospective bidders are strictly required to attend a compulsory site clarification meeting to understand the site-specific logistics and safety protocols.
