Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) invites qualified electrical contractors to submit quotations for indoor electrical maintenance services at Cape Town International Airport. This twelve-month contract opportunity, reference RFQ 74095, targets CIDB-registered service providers capable of delivering compliant, reliable electrical support within a high-security aviation environment.
Opportunity Overview and Scope
The appointed provider will deliver routine and reactive indoor electrical maintenance across the SOB Office Building and associated airport facilities. Services include fault diagnosis, repairs, preventative maintenance, and compliance testing aligned with SANS 10142-1 standards and ACSA’s operational safety requirements.
Mandatory Eligibility Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Valid CIDB contractor grading of 3 EB or higher
- Certificate of Good Standing under COIDA
- SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration proof
- Bank letter of good standing and letter of solvency
- CIPC registration documents or partnership agreement
Compulsory Briefing Session Details
Attendance at the virtual briefing is mandatory for bid consideration. Join via Microsoft Teams: briefing meeting link. A non-compulsory site inspection is scheduled for 18 May 2026 at 11:00 at the SOB Building, Cape Town International Airport.
Submission Guidelines and Deadline
Email completed quotations to Acsarfq@airports.co.za by 12:00 on Monday, 25 May 2026. Split submissions into multiple attachments under 4MB each. Late, faxed, or physically delivered bids will not be accepted.
Evaluation and Preference Points
Quotations will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price competitiveness and 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE status and local enterprise participation.
