Polokwane Municipality is calling all local fashion designers to showcase their creativity and contribute to the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of the city. The municipality has officially opened applications for a Fashion Show, a flagship event of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025, celebrating and promoting home-grown talent in the creative industries.
Showcase Your Talent at the Global Entrepreneurship Week Fashion Show
This event provides a prestigious platform for fashion designers residing within the Polokwane Municipal jurisdiction to present their work to a broader audience. Scheduled for the 7th of November 2025, the fashion show is a key initiative under the city’s “Naturally Progressive” banner, aimed at fostering local economic development and highlighting the potential of the creative sector.
Eligibility and Participation Criteria for Local Designers
The opportunity is exclusively open to fashion designers who are citizens of and reside within the Polokwane Municipality. To ensure a fair and diverse showcase, designers who have previously won prizes in earlier GEW Fashion Show competitions are not eligible to enter. All applicants must also be registered on the Polokwane Municipality enterprise development database.

Application forms are available for collection starting 30th September 2025 from two locations: the Itsoseng Entrepreneurial Centre at the Polokwane Bus Rank and the Polokwane Municipality LED Office. Completed applications must be submitted at these same locations by the deadline on 18th October 2025, between 08:00 and 16:00.
