The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) has issued an open tender (RFB 3302/2026, ERP No. 539010) for the appointment of a suitably qualified service provider to supply and deliver uniforms, corporate wear, and protective clothing. This strategic five-year (60-month) contract aims to standardize and enhance the professional appearance and safety of SITA’s Facilities Management and Physical Security Department personnel across multiple Gauteng locations.
Scope of Services
The successful bidder will be responsible for the end-to-end provisioning of high-quality, branded apparel. Key operational deliverables include:
- On-site measurement and sizing of staff across four designated SITA buildings in Pretoria and Centurion.
- Sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery of a comprehensive range of items, including flame-retardant conti suits, formal business wear, informal jackets, and branded corporate accessories.
- Strict adherence to SITA’s Pantone color specifications and logo embroidery requirements.
- Execution of all necessary product adjustments and fittings within a stipulated eight-week delivery timeframe from the date of the official order.
- Presentation of physical samples for quality approval prior to the commencement of bulk production.
Compulsory Briefing Session
Attendance at the virtual clarification meeting is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend will result in the immediate disqualification of the bid. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 November 2026, at 13:30 via Microsoft Teams. Bidders must ensure they have the necessary technical setup to join the meeting and engage with SITA’s procurement and technical teams.
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a stringent compliance package demonstrating operational legitimacy and industry experience. Essential documentation includes:
- A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report reflecting an active MAAA status.
- A current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN.
- A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
- Verifiable reference letters from at least two customers to whom similar uniforms or protective clothing were supplied in the past five years.
- Acknowledgement that sub-contracting is not permitted for this bid.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will undergo a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation process. Bidders must first pass the administrative and technical functionality thresholds. The evaluation heavily weights the bidder’s track record, proposed quality of samples, and logistical capacity. Shortlisted bidders may be invited to present their service offering and demonstrate their understanding of the scope of work at SITA’s premises in Pretoria. Final adjudication will balance technical capability with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act’s specific goals.
