    Johannesburg Water Seeks Supplier for Pipes and Fittings

    Johannesburg Water has issued Request for Quotation 6000080663 for the supply and delivery of various pipes, gaskets, nipples, bushes, and bolts.     Comprehensive Scope of Required Items

    The appointed supplier will be responsible for providing the following items as specified in the Bill of Quantities:

    • HDPE Pipe 020mm Class 16 PE100, SABS ISO 4427 approved (1 meter).
    • Klingerite Gasket 40mm Table 1600/3 full face 3mm thick (500 units).
    • Nipple Barrel Galvanised 015mm heavy wall to SABS 62 (200 units).
    • Nipple Barrel Galvanised 020mm heavy wall to SABS 62 (200 units).
    • Bush Galvanised Reducer 025mm x 020mm heavy wall to SABS ISO 49 (300 units).
    • Bolt and Nut High Tensile Steel Hexagon Head 016mm x 065mm (3,000 units).

    Mandatory Requirements and Compliance

    Bidders must meet strict mandatory criteria to be considered. These include:

    • Submission of a manufacturer datasheet and brand names for all items. Failure to provide datasheets will result in disqualification.
    • All quotations must be on a company letterhead.
    • The total quotation value must be inclusive of all applicable taxes, including VAT. Failure to include all applicable taxes will lead to disqualification.
    • Bidders must submit a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
    • Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
    • A copy of a valid lease agreement or municipal account statement not older than 3 months and not in arrears for more than 90 days must be submitted.

    Specific Goals and Preference Points

    The quotation will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. Price accounts for 80 points, while specific goals carry 20 points. The specific goal for this tender is SMME (an EME or QSE) with 51% or more black ownership. The point allocation will be proportionate to the percentage of black ownership. Points for specific goals must be claimed on the MBD 6.1 form and supported by a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit.

    Submission Details and Deadlines

    Quotations must be submitted through the National Treasury eTender portal. Bidders must log in using their CSD credentials to access the submission page. The closing date is Thursday, 5 November 2026, at 12:00. Quotations received after this time will not be accepted. The bid offer must remain valid for 60 days.
