    Sentech Seeks Fence Repair Services at Riversdale Solar Plant

    Sentech Limited has issued a re-advertised Request for Quotation (RFX6000003527/1) for the appointment of a suitably qualified service provider to repair and reinstate the existing ClearVu security fence and Vibracrete fence at the Riversdale C4 Solar Plant. This strategic procurement initiative aims to urgently restore the perimeter security of Sentech’s critical renewable energy infrastructure, which sustained damage due to severe weather conditions, ensuring the continued safety and operational integrity of the facility.

    Scope of Works

    The successful contractor will be responsible for the comprehensive repair and reinstatement of the damaged perimeter fencing. Key deliverables include:

    • Removal of damaged ClearVu fence panels and posts, and replacement of structural components.
    • Reinstallation of existing reusable ClearVu panels and underdig panels, ensuring proper alignment, levelling, and tensioning.
    • Supply and installation of 18 new 3300 mm ClearVu posts, complete with base plates, galvanised nuts, bolts, washers, and protective caps.
    • Supply, installation, and commissioning of approximately 110 meters of high-tensile electric fencing.
    • Execution of all works in strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction Regulations, and Sentech’s technical specifications, backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty.

    Compulsory Briefing Session

    Attendance at the site briefing is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend will result in the immediate disqualification of the quotation. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 November 2026, at 12:00. Bidders must meet at the Shell Garage N2 Parking in Riversdale between 12:00 and 12:10, after which the group will proceed to the site. A 4×4 vehicle is highly recommended for site access. The formal briefing will commence at 12:40 on the Riversdale Sentech Site. Bidders should call 066 259 5397 upon arrival.

    Mandatory Compliance Requirements

    To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a complete and compliant documentation package. Essential submissions include:

    • A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report reflecting an active MAAA status.
    • A current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN.
    • A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
    • A fully completed and signed Revised Standard Bidding Document (SBD) 4: Declaration of Interest.
    • Proof of Public Liability Insurance and Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COID) registration.

    Evaluation Criteria

    Proposals will undergo a rigorous evaluation process. Bidders must first achieve a minimum functionality threshold of 75 out of 100 points, which assesses company experience, technical methodology, and the proposed project team’s qualifications. Qualifying bids will then be adjudicated using the 80/20 preferential procurement point system, allocating 80 points for price competitiveness and 20 points for specific transformation goals, such as B-BBEE contribution.
