The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) invites qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply and delivery of fencing materials. This strategic procurement directly supports the critical LSGWS Canal Failure Repair Project under DWS Construction South in the Eastern Cape, ensuring the security and integrity of vital water infrastructure.

Scope of Supply

The successful bidder will be responsible for providing high-quality, specification-compliant fencing materials. Key deliverables include:

  • Supplying diamond mesh fencing and high strain steel wire.
  • Providing all associated fencing components required for the canal realignment.
  • Ensuring all delivery and railage costs are included in the firm bid price.
  • Adhering to a strict 7-day delivery period following the receipt of an order.

Evaluation Criteria

Responsive bids will be evaluated based on administrative compliance, adherence to technical specifications, and the applicable preferential procurement point system. The DWS reserves the right to negotiate the tender price with the preferred bidder prior to contract signing and may appoint more than one bidder to fulfill the contract requirements.

Submission Guidelines

Bids must be sealed, clearly endorsed with the bid number and description, and physically deposited in the designated tender box at the Department of Water and Sanitation, Lion Roars Office Park, 50 Heugh Road, Walmer, Gqeberha. Late, telegraphic, or emailed submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
