SABC North West Seeks Cleaning and Hygiene Services Provider

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has issued Request for Proposal RFP/LOG/2026/10252077/15 for the provision of comprehensive cleaning and hygiene services at SABC North-West for a period of three years. This strategic contract targets qualified facility management firms to maintain a safe, healthy, and professional working environment for public broadcasting staff and visitors.

Scope of Works and Facility Support

The mandate covers the SABC North-West facility, requiring a dedicated team of cleaners and supervisors. The successful bidder will be responsible for daily cleaning, waste management, and the monthly supply of all necessary hygiene consumables and equipment, strictly adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and SABS ISO standards.

Compulsory Briefing Session

Attendance at the pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly mandatory. Bidders who fail to attend and sign the register will be automatically disqualified from the evaluation process.

Mandatory Requirements

Phase 1 Documents (Non-compliance results in disqualification):

  • Safe hazardous waste disposal certificate or manifest issued within the past three years
  • Physical address of operational office within 250 km radius from SABC Mafikeng
  • Valid annual certified copy of National Contract Cleaning Association or Bargaining Council for Contract Cleaning Industry membership

Required Documents:

  • SARS PIN for tax compliance verification
  • Valid BBBEE Certificate from SANAS accredited Verification Agency
  • Sworn affidavit for EMEs and 51% black owned QSEs
  • Proof of valid TV License Statement or affidavit
  • Certified copy of Company Registration Document
  • Certified copy of Shareholders’ certificates
  • Certified copy of ID documents of Directors or Members
  • Last three years audited/reviewed financial statements or management accounts
  • CSD registration proof

Mandatory Compliance and Evaluation

Proposals will be evaluated using an 80/20 preference point system. A critical mandatory requirement is that bidders must have an operational office within a 250-kilometer radius of the SABC Mafikeng office. Valid B-BBEE certificates, tax compliance, and registration with the National Contract Cleaning Association are also required.
