Scope of Work

The successful bidder will supply and deliver a comprehensive range of protective clothing items, all of which must be SABS approved. The estimated contract period is 120 working days. Required items include:

  • Cotton overalls (female powder blue and male royal blue) with Departmental logos
  • Safety boots (various sizes), security caps, and cotton dust coats
  • Reflector shirts, high-visibility vests, and reflective jackets
  • T-shirts, trousers, belts, and cricket hats
  • Gloves, respiratory masks, safety goggles, and gum boots

Mandatory Requirements

Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) at the time of the closing date . Failure to meet administrative compliance will lead to immediate disqualification. Required documents include:

  • Three contactable reference letters for similar work
  • Sworn affidavits and certified identity documents for specific goals claims
  • Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number

Evaluation and Specific Goals

The 80/20 preference point system applies, with 80 points allocated to price and 20 points to specific goals. Preference points are awarded for ownership by :

  • Black People: 5 points
  • Women: 5 points
  • Youth: 5 points
  • Persons with Disabilities: 5 points
