The Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC) has issued an open tender (MHSC020/2026-2027) for the appointment of a service provider to deliver comprehensive conferencing and events management services. This strategic three-year contract targets experienced event agencies to support the MHSC’s operational and stakeholder engagement initiatives across South Africa.
Scope of Works and National Footprint
The appointed service provider will be responsible for sourcing, executing, and providing the following functions across all nine provinces:
- Local Conference / Events Bookings: Venue packages for Regional Tripartite Forums (30-400 delegates) and major MHSC events like Summits and Indabas (400-1500 delegates).
- Exhibition and Outdoor Events: Procuring shell schemes, marquees, tents, furniture, catering, mobile toilets, and providing security, paramedics, and Joint Organisation Committee (JOC) services.
- Support Services: Internet/Wi-Fi connectivity, branding, entertainment, and full secretariat services including delegate registration, RSVP handling, minute-taking, and report writing.
Compulsory Virtual Briefing Session
Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Bidders who fail to attend and register will be automatically disqualified from the evaluation process.

Electronic Submission Protocols
In alignment with the MHSC’s digital procurement strategy, all bid responses must be submitted electronically. Bidders may submit via the National Treasury e-Tender portal or email a digital version to the designated SCM inbox. Note that email attachments must not exceed the maximum allowed size of 150MB.
