The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) has issued Request for Quotation PRA/DRVR/ACCOMM/ACORNHOEK/07/2026 for the appointment of a service provider to deliver driver accommodation services. This strategic six-month contract targets capable hospitality and transport support firms to assist operations in Mpumalanga.
Scope of Works and Support Services
The mandate requires comprehensive lodging and support services for PRASA drivers on an “as and when required” basis. The appointed provider will supply overnight accommodation, breakfast provisions, and day rest facilities. Additionally, the scope includes light bus cleaning, secure bus parking, and shuttling services within a 5 to 10-kilometer radius of De Anjo’s Square, Acornhoek.
Mandatory Requirements
This is a location-critical RFQ. Bidders must meet the following mandatory requirements to avoid disqualification:
- Quotation on Company Letterhead.
- Proof of Location: Bidders must submit Municipal Rates and Taxes indicating their full address and a Google Map showing they are within the 5-10 km radius of the specified address.
- Proof of Property Ownership: Submit a Title Deed, a recent Municipal Account, or a Lease Agreement (with the owner’s title deed) for the property.
- Valid SARS Pin and a CSD supplier registration number must be provided.
Electronic Submission Protocols
In alignment with PRASA’s procurement policies, all quotation responses must be submitted electronically. Bidders are advised to email their proposals well in advance of the deadline to avoid last-minute technical disruptions. Late or incomplete submissions will be automatically disqualified.
