Medical Surveillance Services
- Baseline and periodic medical examinations with X-ray reports
- Vaccination programmes including Hepatitis B for waste employees
- Post-injury and exit medical assessments
- Pension fund medical examination documentation
Employee Wellness Programmes
- Alcohol and substance abuse testing and training (bi-annually)
- Face-to-face counselling services
- Chronic medication management
- Health and wellness education initiatives
Specialist Services
The panel requires expertise across multiple disciplines including general practitioners, radiologists for medical imaging, psychologists for employee wellness, and medico-legal oversight for clinical governance and risk management.
Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria
Bidders must meet specific functionality requirements to qualify for further evaluation. The minimum functionality score is 70%, and documentary proof must support all claims. Key evaluation criteria include:
- MBCHB degree or equivalent recognised in South Africa
- Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Basic Life Support or Advanced Trauma Management certification
- Dispensing license and proof of registration with HPCSA and SASOM
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in occupational health
- Three demonstrable references with satisfactory performance history
- Business experience in the government sector

Submission Requirements
All bids must include CSD registration (report not older than 3 months), SARS tax compliance status verification, company registration documents, certified identity documents of directors, and B-BBEE Status Level Verification certificates.
