uMngeni-uThukela Water (UUW) has issued an open tender (2026/089) for the supply and delivery of general and pre-printed stationery. This strategic 36-month contract ensures consistent inventory management and operational support across the utility’s regional storage facilities in KwaZulu-Natal.
Scope of Supply and Regional Delivery
The appointed service provider will supply a comprehensive range of stationery to three key regional stores:
- Mkondeni Stores (South Region, Pietermaritzburg)
- Pineside Stores (Central Region, New Germany)
- Richards Bay Stores (North East Region) Deliveries will be executed on an as-and-when-required basis, ensuring uninterrupted administrative operations across all three nodes.
Contract Participation Goals and Evaluation
Bids will be evaluated using the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Functionality is heavily weighted toward proven experience, scored via submitted reference letters. Furthermore, bidders must commit to mandatory Contract Participation Goals (CPG), offering a minimum of 35% subcontracting to targeted groups, including at least 10% to black women-owned enterprises and 10% to local enterprises. Pricing must remain firm for 12 months before CPI escalation applies.

Prospective bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid clarification meeting. Failure to attend will result in immediate disqualification.
