George Municipality invites tenders (GMT061/25-26) for the appointment of a panel of contractors to provide plumbing-related services. This three-year contract, running until 30 June 2029, targets CIDB-graded enterprises to support municipal infrastructure, informal settlements, and indigent households across the Western Cape.

Scope of Works and Target Beneficiaries

The appointed panel will attend to emergency and routine plumbing services on an as-and-when-required basis. The scope covers municipal buildings, public facilities, informal settlement areas, and indigent households, ensuring equitable access to essential water and sanitation services.

Mandatory CIDB Grading and Compliance

Bidders must be registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and hold a grading designation of 2SO or higher. Contractors must also submit a comprehensive Health and Safety plan from a registered practitioner, alongside all required Municipal Bidding Documents (MBDs).

Attendance at the mandatory clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Tenderers arriving after 11:15 will be denied entry, and non-attendance will result in immediate disqualification.

Submission Guidelines and Evaluation
