The Luthuli Museum, a Schedule 3A public entity, invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of giveaway materials for the Chief Albert Luthuli Walk and Fun Run 2026. This Request for Quotation (RFQ LM 2026/0036) supports the museum’s mandate to honor the legacy of Chief Albert Luthuli and the Liberation Movement through community engagement and heritage events in KwaZulu-Natal.

Tender Overview

This procurement initiative targets the provision of essential giveaway materials for the upcoming Chief Albert Luthuli Walk and Fun Run. The successful bidder will play a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success by delivering high-quality promotional and participant items on time.

Scope of Work and Required Items

The appointed service provider must supply the following branded giveaway materials, all within the Ilembe District Municipality:

  • T-Shirts (Round Neck): 1,500 units (500 orange, 1,000 yellow). Fabric: 100% polyester performance knit (135–145 gsm) with moisture-wicking technology, double-stitched seams, and a unisex athletic fit. Suitable for screen printing, heat transfer, or sublimation.
  • Caps: 1,500 units, white screen printing on black caps, 100% cotton material.
  • Drawstring Bags: 1,500 units, black bag with white writing. Material: Eco-friendly recyclable non-woven polypropylene. Size: 34cm x 42cm.
  • Race Numbers: 1,500 units, white background sticker with gloss finish to adhere to the performance t-shirts.
  • Paper Wristbands: 1,500 units (500 orange, 500 yellow). Plain colour Tyvek wristbands, tear-resistant and water-resistant with a tamper-proof closure.

Artwork is provided by the Museum. The successful service provider must supply samples for production preview and authorisation before mass production commences.

Mandatory Electronic Submission

The Luthuli Museum strictly requires all proposals to be submitted electronically. Hand-delivered proposals will not be accepted under any circumstances. Bidders must submit one soft copy of their quotation, including a pricing schedule on a separate company letterhead, directly to the designated email address.
