The Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for architectural services to reconfigure and design internal office space at its Polokwane headquarters. The project responds to the Agency’s growth and high building occupancy.
Compulsory Briefing Session
A compulsory briefing session will be held on Friday, 12 June 2026 at 11:00 at RAL Towers, 26 Rabe Street, Polokwane. Arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in exclusion. Bidders must sign the attendance register.

Scope of Architectural Services
The appointed service provider will conduct:
- Comprehensive site assessment and as‑built drawings of the existing layout (including partitioning)
- Architectural design and drawings for proposed reconfiguration (1st, 2nd, 3rd floors) – partitioning, furniture positioning, floor finishes, ceiling/lighting, metalwork, woodwork, joinery
- Mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings: fire protection & detection, HVAC, sanitary systems, electrical layouts (including data, IT network, power, fire detection)
- Facilitation of all council/municipal approvals (Electrical, Fire, Plumbing)
- Construction sequencing / project planning
- Preparation of tender specifications and separate Bills of Quantities per work group (architectural, electrical, mechanical, equipment, furniture)
- Supervision of construction/installation works, site inspections, progress meetings, snag list management, and certification of payment reports
Mandatory Requirements (Disqualifiable)
Bidders must submit:
- Signed attendance register for the compulsory briefing session
- Fully completed and signed SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid)
- Fully completed Pricing Schedule (SBD 3.3) – failure to complete fully = non‑responsive
- Fully completed and signed SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure)
- Proof of authority to sign (signed letter / board resolution)
- Signed joint venture or partnership agreement (if applicable)
- Certified copy of valid company membership with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession) – not older than six months
