Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) invites qualified contractors to submit quotations for the repair of broken and cracked concrete edges at King Phalo International Airport in East London. This six-month contract opportunity, reference RFQ 12113, addresses critical infrastructure maintenance essential for airport operational safety and compliance.
Scope of Works and Technical Requirements
The appointed contractor will repair deteriorated concrete edges on the main apron blocks, ensuring structural integrity and safe aircraft maneuvering areas. Works include:
- Assessment and repair of broken and cracked concrete edges
- Application of approved concrete repair materials and methodologies
- Compliance with aviation safety standards and ACSA specifications
- Completion within a six-month contract period
Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
Bidders must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Valid CIDB contractor grading of 1 CE or higher
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration
- Valid SARS tax compliance status and PIN
- Letter of Good Standing from Compensation Fund (COIDA)
- CIPC registration documents and bank letter of good standing
Briefing Session and Site Inspection
A non-compulsory briefing session will be held on Monday, 01 June 2026 at 12:00 at King Phalo Airport Administrator Office, 66 Settler’s Way, 1st Floor, East London. While attendance is optional, bidders are strongly encouraged to participate for scope clarification and site familiarization. Bidders must bring:
- Valid ID document or driver’s license
- Safety boots
- Reflector vest
