The Department of Tourism has issued Request for Proposal IM0932026 for the appointment of a service provider to deliver comprehensive podcast production and multimedia video services. This strategic procurement supports the department’s communication mandate to inform, educate, and engage stakeholders on tourism policies and sector developments.
Opportunity Overview and Scope
The appointed provider will deliver three service categories on an as-needed basis: podcast production (recording, editing, mastering), controlled-environment video recording for leadership messaging, and event videography/photography services nationwide. Events may occur across South Africa with a focus on Cape Town and Pretoria.
Key Submission Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in podcast production and/or videography • Proven track record in government or public sector communications • Capacity to deliver high-quality multimedia content under tight deadlines • Access to appropriate technical equipment and skilled personnel • All pricing must include equipment, labour, editing, travel, and associated costs
Evaluation and Preference Points
Proposals will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price competitiveness and 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE status and enterprise development. Functionality evaluation precedes financial scoring.
