Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) invites certified Apple resellers to submit quotations for the supply of three high-specification Apple MacBook Pro units, complete with peripherals, software, and a six-month IT services contract. This procurement aims to equip the organisation with cutting-edge technology for enhanced productivity and operational efficiency.
Comprehensive Scope of Hardware and Software Supply
The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying three complete sets of the following equipment, ensuring all items are compatible with each other:
- Laptop: 2026 Apple 16-inch MacBook Pro (M5 Max Chip) with 18-core CPU, 40-core GPU, 128GB memory, 8TB SSD, Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6, including an extended 3-year warranty.
- Display: 27-inch Apple Studio 5k Retina Display with nano-texture glass, Thunderbolt 5 ports, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, including an extended 3-year warranty.
- Peripherals: Apple Magic Mouse (USB-C) and Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad, both with extended 3-year warranties.
- Accessories: 6-in-1 Multiport Hub Adapter and Apple Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable (2 meters).
- Software: Parallels Desktop for Mac Enterprise Edition (version 21) annual renewable subscription.
IT Services and Support Contract
The quotation must include a six-month IT services contract specifically for MAC systems bridged with Windows operating systems. The scope of services must include:
- Setting up and installation of all hardware and software.
- An after-service maintenance plan to ensure ongoing functionality and support.
Mandatory Certification and Documentation
Bidders must comply with the following requirements. Failure to do so will result in disqualification:
- Certified Apple Reseller: Provide proof of certification as a certified reseller for Apple and related software.
- Certified ID Copies: Submit certified ID copies of company owners.
- Certified CIPC Documents: Submit certified CIPC registration documents.
- Reseller’s Letter: Submit an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) letter confirming reseller status.
- SBD Forms: Complete and submit the attached Standard Bidding Documents.
