NRWDI Invites Quotations for Branded Promotional Items

The National Radioactive Waste Disposal Institute (NRWDI) has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number NRWDI/COMM/2025-10 for the supply and delivery of branded promotional items for its staff and board members across its Head Office in Pelindaba and Vaalputs site. The order includes power banks, lunch box bags, stress balls, herbal tea boxes, and mini flasks—each to be customised with the NRWDI logo. Submissions must be emailed by 11:00 on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, to procurement@nrwdi.org.za.

This is a time-sensitive opportunity with a narrow response window—suppliers are urged to act promptly and ensure full compliance.

Scope of Supply: Custom-Branded Corporate Gifts

The successful service provider will supply:

  • 80 x Power banks (20W–30W with USB-C PD)
  • 80 x Lunch Box Bags (16 x 23 x 28 cm)
  • 80 x Stress Balls
  • 80 x Herbal Tea Boxes (minimum 20 tea bags per box)
  • 80 x Mini Flasks (150ml capacity, approx. D 5.5cm x H 17cm)

All items must be new, unused, and branded with the official NRWDI logo as provided upon award. Deliveries must be made to Elias Motsoaledi Street Extension, R104, Pelindaba, Brits, 0240.

Mandatory Submission Requirements

To be considered, quotations must include:

  • A formal quote on company letterhead with firm, VAT-inclusive pricing per item
  • Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
  • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (Level 1–8 or EME/QSE)
  • Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
  • Confirmation of ISO 9001:2015 certification (if applicable)

Quotations must be submitted exclusively via email—no hard copies, faxes, or postal submissions will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System

Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:

  • 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
  • 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability, and military veteran ownership

Only complete, responsive, and compliant submissions will be evaluated.

  • Closing Date & Time: 24 February 2026 at 11:00
  • Submission Method: Email only to procurement@nrwdi.org.za
  • Subject Line: Must include “NRWDI/COMM/2025-10 – Promotional Items”
  • File size limit: Maximum 10 MB per email (multiple emails permitted if needed)
  • Late or incomplete submissions will be disqualified

Quote validity must be 90 days from the closing date.
