ATNS Seeks Roofing & Ceiling Repair Contractor in Kempton Park

The Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited (ATNS) has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number ATNS/FAOR/RFQ23/2025/26_ROOFING for the appointment of a service provider to carry out internal ceiling repairs at the Babsfontein site and general building repairs at the ATNS Isando site in Kempton Park, Gauteng. The scope includes remediation of water ingress damage, replacement of ceiling boards, and restoration of affected interior finishes. Submissions must be emailed by 11:00 on Monday, 2 March 2026, to RFQs@atns.co.za with a copy to SimphiweQ@atns.co.za.

This is a time-sensitive opportunity for qualified contractors with experience in commercial building maintenance and rapid response to infrastructure defects.

Scope of Work: Targeted Repairs at Critical Aviation Sites

The successful service provider will deliver:

  • At Babsfontein Site:
    • Removal and replacement of damaged ceiling boards due to water ingress
    • Inspection and repair of underlying roof structure if required
    • Repainting and finishing to match existing interiors
  • At Isando Site (Gewel Street):
    • General building repairs including plasterwork, skirting, and paint touch-ups
    • Remediation of damp or cracked wall sections
    • Restoration of interior surfaces to ATNS facility standards

All work must comply with occupational health and safety regulations and be completed within agreed timelines to minimise disruption to air navigation operations.

Mandatory Submission Requirements

To be considered, quotations must include:

  • A completed pricing schedule with firm, VAT-inclusive rates per item
  • Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
  • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (Level 1–8 or EME/QSE)
  • Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
  • Company profile and evidence of past experience in similar building repair projects

Quotations must be submitted exclusively via email—no hard copies, faxes, or postal submissions will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System

Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:

  • 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
  • 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability, and military veteran ownership

Only complete, responsive, and compliant submissions will be evaluated.

  • Submission Method: Email only to RFQs@atns.co.za with copy to SimphiweQ@atns.co.za
  • Subject Line: Must include “ATNS/FAOR/RFQ23/2025/26_ROOFING – Ceiling and Building Repairs”
  • Late or incomplete submissions will be disqualified

Bid validity must be 60 days from the closing date.
