Design for Mr Price & Win Over R100k in Prizes

Are you a fashion student or recent graduate with big ideas and a bold sense of style? Mr Price is giving you the chance to launch your own limited-edition fashion range — and win prizes worth over R50,000 to kickstart your career.

This is your opportunity to design, get noticed, and break into the industry with one of South Africa’s biggest fashion retailers.

Who Can Apply?

This competition is open to:

  • Final-year fashion students
  • Graduates from 2023 or 2024
  • Applicants must be from a recognised fashion institution in South Africa
  • South African residents only
  • Applicants may not be currently employed by any African or South African fashion retailer

How to Enter

  1. Design a Summer Collection:
    Entrants must create a summer-inspired ladieswear or menswear range consisting of 8–10 pieces. Designs should be youthful, fashion-forward, and ready for retail in 2026. Submissions must include details on fabric and trims, print direction, and colour palette.
  2. Write a Motivation Letter:
    Applicants should include a brief personal statement explaining why they deserve to win and how their vision aligns with the Mr Price brand.
  3. Submit Supporting Documents:
    Alongside the design and motivation, applicants must provide:
    • Proof of study (academic transcript for students or graduation certificate for graduates)
    • A valid South African ID or passport
    • Contact details, full name, institution, and current year of study noted on each page
  4. Send Your Entry:
    All documents must be submitted as a single PDF (under 6MB) to:

What’s in It for the Winner?

The winner will receive:

  • R50,000 in cash
  • R10,000 in Mr Price fashion vouchers
  • R20,000 in tech prizes
  • A week-long mentorship at Mr Price’s head office
