Scope of Work
The service provider is required to cater for a Beneficial Ownership Training event scheduled for 8 September 2026. The menu for the 38 attendees includes rice, samp, mutton stew, grilled chicken, two salads, two vegetables, and assorted cooldrinks and juice. The SIU is South Africa’s independent statutory body tasked with investigating serious malpractices and corruption in state institutions .
Mandatory and Administrative Requirements
Bidders must comply with strict eligibility criteria to be considered. Failure to submit the following will lead to disqualification:
- Proof of National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with a compliant tax status
- Valid Certificate of Acceptability for food premises (health certificate)
- One reference letter or list from a previous client where similar catering services were successfully rendered
- ID copies of company directors and CIPC company registration documents
Submission and Evaluation
Quotations must be emailed to rfq@siu.org.za. The SIU will award the bid to the bidder offering the “best value,” not simply the lowest price. The 80/20 preference point system will apply, with 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE status level and a specific goal for more than 50% Black ownership. The award is also subject to the successful bidder passing the SIU’s internal integrity screening.
