Mnquma Local Municipality has issued an open tender (SCM/MLM/19/26-27) for the design, development, printing, and supply of tourism brochures, visitors’ books, and tourism packages or routes. This strategic procurement aims to actively promote local tourism destinations and stimulate economic growth in the Eastern Cape.
Scope of Work and Specifications
The successful bidder will be required to produce the following items according to strict specifications:
- Tourism Brochure (2,200 units): A4 folded to A5, 16 numbered pages, full colour double-sided on 150gsm gloss, with a full-colour cover on 160gsm gloss. Includes minimal editing, cutting, scoring, folding, and saddle-stitching.
- Visitor’s Books (54 units): A3 size, 200 numbered pages (100 sheets) plus cover. Full colour cover on 160gsm gloss with black ink inner pages on 80gsm bond. To be cut and case bound (unpadded) with side lamination.
- Tourism Packages/Routes (43,000 units): A4 folded to DL, full colour double-sided on 128gsm gloss. Includes full design and layout, to be cut and folded to z-fold.
Mandatory Compliance and Evaluation
Proposals will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system, balancing competitive pricing with specific goals such as B-BBEE status and local enterprise development. Bidders must ensure all statutory declarations and schedules are completed fully in non-erasable ink to avoid disqualification.
Strict Physical Submission Protocols
Sealed bid documents must be hand-delivered to the official bid box. Late, couriered, faxed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. The tender offer must remain valid and irrevocable for 90 days from the closing date.
