  • Accommodation of diverse dietary requirements, including vegetarian, halal, and allergy-specific menus.
  • Supply of all necessary cutlery, crockery, serving utensils, and professional, uniformed catering staff.
  • Strict adherence to municipal and provincial health and safety regulations, ensuring proper food storage, temperature control, and waste disposal.
  • Punctual delivery and setup at the Historium Building, ensuring seamless service execution and post-event reporting.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a stringent compliance package demonstrating operational legitimacy and industry experience. Essential documentation includes:

  • A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report.
  • An original, valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate.
  • Certified copies of company registration documents.
  • A completed SBD 4 Declaration of Interest form.
  • Proof of a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in professional catering services, supported by at least three written client testimonials.
  • Valid Food Handling Certificates for all deployed catering staff.

Evaluation Criteria

Quotations will be evaluated based on administrative compliance, technical capability, and pricing. Bidders are required to submit a comprehensive catering proposal detailing menus and costs for four standard event sizes: a small workshop (15 people), a medium workshop (550 people), a conference (100 people), and a large event (200 people).
