CIDB National Construction Summit 2026 | RSVP Now

Kempton Park, Gauteng – The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) will host the National Construction Summit 2026 from 1–2 December 2026 at Emperors Palace. Under the theme “Unlocking Infrastructure Delivery: Advancing Industry Performance and Accountability,” the two-day event brings together government, industry leaders, contractors, and stakeholders to accelerate infrastructure delivery and drive greater performance across the sector .

Purpose and Objectives

The Summit aims to strengthen industry performance, drive accountability, and accelerate the delivery of infrastructure South Africa needs. Building on the 2025 Summit momentum, significant progress is already taking shape, including the launch of the R300 million cidb-SEDFA Construction Fund and the establishment of the National BIM Committee .

Four Focused Commissions

The Summit features four CPD-accredited commission sessions examining critical interventions:

  • Performance Improvement Framework: Establishing standardised performance measurement, common indicators, benchmarking mechanisms, and National Cost and Productivity Norms.
  • Infrastructure Pipeline Optimisation: Strengthening project planning, readiness, prioritisation, and implementation discipline while addressing delivery constraints.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Driving digital procurement, Building Information Modelling (BIM), alternative materials, and green building technologies.
  • Industry Development and Transformation: Expanding contractor development, enterprise development, skills development, and inclusive participation.

Keynote and Programme

Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson, will deliver the keynote address, sharing progress since NCS 2025 and setting direction for the industry’s next chapter. The programme includes high-level plenary discussions, report-backs, and the formal adoption of new resolutions aimed at shaping the future of South Africa’s construction industry .

Summit Details and Registration

The National Construction Summit 2026 takes place on 1–2 December 2026 at Emperors Palace, Gauteng. The Ministerial Engagement Dinner will be held on 30 November 2026 by invitation only. Construction stakeholders are encouraged to register and be part of the conversation shaping the industry’s future.
