Consumable Goods Supply Tender: Marine Living Resources Fund

The Marine Living Resources Fund (MLRF), a Schedule 3A public entity within the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of consumable goods. This Request for Quotation (RFQ0001287) offers a procurement opportunity in the Western Cape.

Tender Overview and Purpose

The appointed service provider will supply and deliver consumable goods for Inshore Large Pelagics in Cape Town or surrounding areas. Scope of Consumable Goods Required

The municipality requires:

  • 2 x Hex Bolt Set 8.0×30 S/S 4/PK (Stainless Steel)
  • 1 x Flat Washer 8mm S/S 10/PK (Stainless Steel)
  • 1 x Nylock Nut 8mm S/S 10/PK (Stainless Steel)
  • 8 x Wham Bam Super Heavy Duty Plastic Storage Boxes with Lids (36 Litre)
  • 2 x Multiplug with Master Switch 12 Way
  • 30 x SanDisk Extreme Pro Micro SD Memory Cards (32 Gig)
  • 1 x 1kg Silica Dessicant Beads
  • 5 x Standard Stainless Steel Fish Filleting Knives
  • 8 x Pioneer Respirator DBL
  • 8 x Pioneer Cartridge P2 (2-Piece)

Mandatory Requirements for Bidders

Bidders must submit:

  • Completed and signed SBD 1, 2, 3.1, 4, and 6.1 forms
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Compliance Status PIN
  • CSD registration report with MAAA supplier number
  • Certified ID copies of directors and shareholders
  • Entity registration certificate (CK1)
  • Letter of Authority to sign documents on behalf of the company
  • Written quotation on company letterhead

Evaluation Process and Preference Points

The RFQ will be evaluated on the 80/20 preference point system with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals. Specific goals include:

  • 51% Black ownership: 8 points
  • 50% Women ownership: 4 points
  • Youth ownership: 4 points
  • Disability: 4 points

Submission Requirements

The proposal must consist of two parts: the technical bid and the pricing bid. Bidders must draft a table of contents indicating where each document is located in the proposal. All standard bidding documents must be completed and signed.
