Comprehensive Scope of Work
The project covers a full-scale furnishing of the new NEF Head Office, spread across multiple floors and wings. The scope is divided into key areas:
- Meeting Rooms: 8 boardrooms and meeting spaces requiring tables, ergonomic chairs, and server units across all floors
- Workstations: Over 170 workstations requiring desks, modesty panels, acoustic desk screens, and lockable drawers
- Special Areas: A 293m² space on the First Floor (East Wing) for an open-plan office, a 10-seat and 8-seat meeting room, a kitchenette, and a staff pause area
Technical Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate their ability to deliver high-quality, durable, and ergonomically sound furniture. The proposal must be supported by detailed catalogues and technical datasheets. A clear delivery and installation plan is required, with a maximum lead time of eight weeks from order receipt. A comprehensive warranty and a plan for resolving defects and faults are also mandatory. Proof of local manufacturing or sourcing is required to qualify for specific evaluation points .
Evaluation Criteria
The tender will be evaluated in four phases. Bidders must score a minimum of 35 points in the technical evaluation to proceed to the site visit stage. The final phase uses the 80/20 preference point system, with specific goals for black ownership (10 points), black women’s ownership (5 points), youth ownership (2 points), and SMME promotion (2 points).

Submission Requirements
Bids must be submitted electronically as a single PDF (max 18MB) to headoffice@nefcorp.co.za by the closing date. The submission must include a signed POPIA consent form, all completed SBD forms, a valid SARS Tax Compliance Status Pin, a B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and a Politically Exposed Person declaration form.
